Manny Flick #4
Thank you again to everyone that came out to support PCR on Sunday! We had a total nine boats racing on Sunday at Manny Flick #4.
The girls started the day of racing with the novice girls eights racing first. This week the Manny Flicks races where seeded according to past results of racing. Three novice eights where entered into a field of fifteen the first novice eight was in the first flight and got 5th with a time of 6:08. The second novice boat raced in the second flight and also got 5th with a time of 6:50 and the third novice boat racing finished 6th in the third flight with a time of 7:11.
The girls JV eight raced next in the second flight and won their flight! The JV girls got second overall out of fourteen crews they got a time of 5:29, and this was the first time this boat raced together. Racing in the JV eight was Calla Bush, Hana Pearlman, Hannah Boroff, Margarita Amihava, Isabella D’Angelo, Kai Burton, Chirar Nemati, Logan Perrin and coxswain Eugenie St. John Sutton.
Racing next was the girl’s varsity double, Holli Sdao and Darya Nemati, raced in the third flight and got 1st! This was their first time racing the double together. They got a time of 6:05 and getting 7th out of sixteen crews.
The final girls race of the day was the girls varsity four, racing in the boat was Emma Graff, Cassidy Kapps-Gibson, Kathryn Romano, Tangela Alston and coxswain Tatiana Torres. The girls raced in the second flight and got 3rd with a time of 6:00. Great job ladies!!
Afternoon racing started with the boys novice eight, boys JV four and boys lightweight double. The boys novice eight has been racing well the past two Many Flicks and where excited to be racing this weekend in the Toby Wallace Hudson eight. They raced in the first flight and got third with a time of 5:20 putting them in third place overall out of eighteen crews. Racing in the boat was Skylar Scafidi, Will Stocovaz, Jack Hehmeyer, Jocob Harris, Malik Dawn, Xavier Pfister, Tyler Wilson, Wesley White and coxswain Tarleton David Williams. The boys are looking forward to the rest of the season and getting faster.The boys JV four raced next, and won the forth flight with a time of 5:56. Racing in the four was David Ludwig, Christan Gleason, Myi Harte, Gabriel McGuorik and coxswain Jasmine Butler. This was the first time the boat raced together and where excited they won their flight. They are looking forward to racing next weekend.Finishing up the day of racing was the boys lightweight double with Amir Smith stroking and James Garcia bowing. The boys finished third in the first flight and earned fourth overall with at time of 6:12. Both boys are senior and this is the second year the boys are racing together. They are looking forward to racing the rest of the season in their double and getting faster.Great job to all PCR crews that raced, and thank you to the booster club for providing food for all of the rowers after their race.
