Open House at 2700 W. Girard

This winter PCR signed a lease to secure indoor training space and an office/study area.  This newly acquired facility will allow PCR to offer greatly expanded academic support services, provide a permanent space for our winter training and middle school program, allow for additional family involvement, and finally give us a place to call home.

PCR to race in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

PCR Rowers will all be racing in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on October 27th & 28th.  For many of our novice rowers, this will be their very first race.  The Head of the Schuylkill Regatta has brought thousands of athletes from the region and far beyond to Philadelphia for what is considered one of the best run, and most challenging head races, in the US. Its popularity caused regatta directors to expand the event to 2 full days.

"Backwards" the Movie to be a PCR Fundraiser

The movie "Backwards" was filmed in Philadelphia along our very own Boathouse Row, sharing the journey of one female rower's aspirations to achieve her dream of competing on the world stage as an Olympic rower. PCR has strong ties to the film: Tony Schneider, Chairman of PCR, served as the co-executive producer of the movie, and many of our PCR students were involved in the production and can be seen in various scenes throughout "Backwards."
