Get Involved

explore our volunteer opportunities

As our program continues to grow, we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our work. Below are just a few of the ways you can get involved!

become a volunteer assistant coach

PCR’s programming aims to instill hard work, discipline, and teamwork in our athletes.  Assistant coaches work with the Head Coach to implement practices on land and on-water with the aim of improving athletes’ technique, strength, and speed. Like all adults in our program, assistant coaches are also expected to serve as role models to our athletes, and thus must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. We ask our volunteer coaches to commit to a consistent schedule. Our practices are held weekdays from 4:15-6:30 pm and Saturdays 8 am to noon. If you are interested in volunteering as an assistant coach, please contact George Rowley at [email protected].

join the fundraising and events committee

PCR’s is proud to offer all of our programs and services completely for free to kids and families. Each year, we must fundraise 100% of our budget from the ground up. PCR is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our fundraising and events committee. Experience working in fundraising or event planning is not required. We simply need folks who are willing to roll up their sleeves and lend a helping hand. Strong organizational skills, a willingness to tap into your personal network for support, and an upbeat attitude can go a long way in helping us achieve our goals. Other key skills that could help include: PR/Marketing, food services, and graphic design. If you’re interested in joining the fundraising and events committee, please reach out to Caitlin Mance at [email protected].

offers other skills or services

Do you have other skills you think would be useful to PCR? Maybe you’re a photographer, yoga instructor, or you own a restaurant. Maybe you’re an accountant or work in public relations. If you have other skills that you believe could be helpful to PCR, we’d love to hear from you! PCR has a small staff of only three full time employees and we are always looking for extra help to improve our operations and achieve our mission. If you’re interested in offering your time and talent, please reach out to Caitlin Mance at [email protected].
